Large-scale alcohol trafficking operation dismantled in Tripoli

As part of the Stability Support Apparatus’s efforts to combat drug and psychoactive substance trafficking, the Investigations and Evidence Collection Department received intelligence about an individual transporting large quantities of locally produced alcohol from Al-Ajaylat to Tripoli.

The department conducted a planned operation resulting in the arrest of the suspect, identified as (A.M.A), who was caught red-handed selling the alcohol.

The authorities confiscated 28 gallons of locally produced alcohol (20 liters each) and 86 bottles (1.5 liters each) found in the suspect’s possession.

Following the suspect’s arrest, legal proceedings were initiated, and the case has been transferred to the public prosecutor’s office.
