A large number of rotten Egyptian onions were destroyed

An extensive and ongoing campaign of food and drug storage facility inspections has been commissioned by our Janzour branch and experts.

An inspection campaign was launched on the vegetable market in Janzour municipality in collaboration with the Environmental Health and Sanitation, the Abu Salim Municipal Guard Branch, the Food and Drug Control Center, and the Internal Security Agency.

On Friday, 30,000 kilograms of onions imported from Egypt were seized as unfit for human consumption due to black fungus contamination.

In the presence of all parties involved in the campaign, the seized quantity was destroyed at the textile factory’s headquarters in Janzour.
